Gastroenterology is the branch of medicine that deals with the digestive system. The focus of this speciality is diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, which includes the organs from the mouth to the anus, including the oesophagus, stomach, small intestine, large intestine, rectum, pancreas, gallbladder, bile ducts and liver.
